Before you even have time to get your paperwork
together to file for a tax refund, the credit card
and refund anticipation loan offers come rolling in.
But beware! These are expensive ways to "borrow"
against your refund, with interest rates reaching as
high as double digits on an annualized basis. Read
this warning from the Massachusetts Office of
Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation about
  refund anticipation loans:

From a personal finance perspective, it's best to
adjust your tax withholding next year and not get a
big refund in the first place. But don't make it
worse this year by borrowing against the refund.
